1999 Martin D-28 w/Bridge pickup Demo

Video Description:
Video # 3... This guitar has amazing action for a Martin...very easy to play...I just put on a fresh set of D'addario Phospher Bronze strings (.012-.053). Just jamming...using a pic unplugged and then both pic and fingers through the amp. Shot with a Nikon Coolpix 3200 and the built in mic...the guitar is plugged straight into (the wrong amp for the job...) a Fender Super Sonic (tube amp)...no effects besides the built in reverb.

| Stop spending your money on whatever it is you do spend it on and save for what you really want. And if you perform live, then you need some sort of electronics. This was recorded with a crappy point and shoot digital camera set on video mode and the guitar was plugged into an electric guitar amp...that makes for two bad things to start with. And in my opinion, guitars are not meant to be idols, there is nothing wrong in putting a pickup in...the Martin people do it all the time. |

| See the reply comment below regarding the sound...I blame most of that on the amp...and the guitar played better than several hundred other D-28's that I have personally played...and it sold right away when I listed it on eBay...so someone else did like the sound enough to buy it. |

| I bought it used and have since sold it. I believe it was a Martin Thinline (which I believe was manufactured by Fishman). It would have sounded better on my newer acoustic amp and my new camcorder. Before you cut your guitar up, consider one of the newer soundhole pickups...they are way better than they used to be. |

| For what it's worth, I bought this one with the pickup already in it. Note my response to the comment above...I tell the person not to cut up their guitar without first looking at other options. |

| I like the Fishman soundhole pickups myself... I will be listing an amazing sounding 1992 Martin DC-28 (D-28 with a cutaway) with a built in under the bridge pickup...I'll be posting the video in a few days...it has lterally never been sold and still has the plastic on the pickguard...wait 'til you hear the sound...it's active somehow...no controls, but it has a 9 volt battery clip against the neck joint. I just need to pick from the 4 "takes" I did...they all came out good! Thanks for watching! |
